You Got an Empty Bottle!

Finding a good empty bottle in reality makes you feel as if they are as scarce and valuable as they are in Hyrule. It's nearly impossible to find one that is just right.




IKEA has come pretty close. For a relatively small investment ($4.99 in the US on Ikea.com), you can get this rather lovely item:


I agree, it's not perfect. But for 5 bucks, and at somewhere as ubiquitous as IKEA, that's too good to ignore!

For Heart Portions, Pumpkin Soup, Fresh Milk, Hot Spring Water, Insects in general...! The uses are endless!

While I was very pleased to have produced my very own vintage of proper Chateau Romani yesterday, wonderful partner of mine couldn't help but point out how it would be simpler AND tastier to "just add Licor 43 to milk". Chateau Romani Milk Liqueur

Ever since I heard of "Chateau Romani", or for that matter "Lon Lon Milk", I've needed it in my life. But without vineyards, how could Cremia (Malon) and Romani produce a fine vintage? Well, I can only assume that the noxious Ingo or maybe Malon's father Talon had some stash of hooch kicking around on the ranch, and mixed with a little Lon Lon Milk, the first vintage of Chateau Romani was created. Or They somehow left some secret knowledge behind, in between cow heists. Who knows. What you and I need to know, however, is simply two-fold: how to make the milk liqueur, and how to bottle it. First: the Chateau Romani recipe ! Chateau Romani Milk Liqueur Ingredients: Equal parts vodka , fresh milk (>2%, and not UHT), and white sugar . Meat Pie

Mmmm! Meat Pies These were easy and tasted very nice! Easy, because I bought premade pastry dough. This is something I would never, ever do in the past, but ever since we moved to Europe, none (NONE) of my North American recipes for dough or pastry work. There is definitely less gluten in the flour here... which means terrible, mealy bagels but much, much fluffier breads and croissants. Can't win 'em all. The veggies here will add moisture (and the potato will add starch) and will give a very nice moist meaty pie, similar to a cornish pasty. Note: I ended up with an appreciable amount of 'filling' leftover - I simply froze this to use in spaghetti sauce in the future. ;) Leftover filling will be great for spaghetti once mixed with tomato sauce in the frying pan!
